Dascom Technology was founded in 2000 to serve the growing demands in value-added services from telecommunication carries.

Based on the award-winning intelligent network platform developed by the Intelligent network Laboratory (National IN Lab) of the Beijing University of Post and Telecom (BUPT), Dascom successfully deployed the IN solution to carriers in the South East Asia.

is the leading university in telecommunications in China. BUPT hosts the China National Research & Development Centers for Intelligent Network (IN) and Telecommunication Management Network (TMN). These centers are funded by the government and are engaged in respective technology research & development work as well as providing input to MII in setting national standards.

Dascom Technology is also responsible for distributing OSS/NMS solutions outside China from Metarnet Technology, which is a key supplier of OSS/NMS solutions in China and affiliated with the BUPT.

With the changing needs in the telecom world, Dascom Technology also diversified its business into various IT related disciplines while focusing in serving the Telco's requirement.

Dascom is aimed at providing solutions across the ICT spectrum, serving the needs of the communication world. Based on self-developed IN based VAS platform, Dascom is providing various value-added services in conjunction with the operators in China and in Hong Kong. Dascom also provide system integration services to telecom operators especially when there is need in signaling conversion, roaming, and applications across incumbent network and NGN network. With the strong support from Metarnet, Dascom has attained significant success in providing integrated network management solutions in the South East Asia.

In 2004, Dascom Metarnet was formed to address the needs and customization of Metarnet NMS solution for the international market.

In 2005, MayDascom Technology Malaysia SDN.BHD was formed in Kuala Lumpur as the sales arm of Dascom for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Muslim countries.

Dascom Technology is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dascom Holdings who has various interests in the IT market, including printer manufacturing, Unix and Linux platforms, internet security and artificial intelligence. Dascom has major manufacturing facility in Jiangmen of Guangdong province and over 150 direct sales offices across mainland China.
