Fax E-MAIL Interchange Platform

A Platform geared towards unified messaging

Introduction

As people migrate to multi-messaging services, they start to demand services which are able to cope with the different formats and media. Until now, fax machines are the most common and universal way to exchange important and real-time document. However, operating a fax machine alone could cost a lot - apart from the obvious cost of running a dedicated fax telephone line and the fax machine itself, the user has to deal with the wastage of fax paper and there are a lot of junk fax to handle. With the emergence of e-mail people start to use it in the everyday life for exchange of information but there is still the issue of authenticity and legality.

With Dascom's Fax E-mail Interchange Platform, users can use both formats for document exchange easily.

Fax E-mail Interchange

The Dascom Fax E-mail Interchange Platform is based on the technology of the highly successful Dascom IN platform - a computing platform with proven track record for reliability and performance.

The following is a list of features on the Fax E-mail Platform:

  • Expandable to include other media formats: The Platform has strong expandability to include new media formats as the system is deployed.
  • Flexible Call Flow: The operation call flow of the application can be customized according to actual requirement and circumstances. The call flow can even be modified and deployed by the client operators without vendor intervention
  • Low Cost High Availability: A load-sharing approach provides high availability using common server hardware without the need for high cost FT systems.
  • High Scalability: The system capacity can be progressively increases by adding or upgrading hardware, allowing a smooth upgrade path as capacity increases.
  • Network Management Interface: A north-bound interface using SNMP is available for connection to centralized network operating centers.
